Your enquiry

We process the contact details, language, subject, contact preference and message you provide to answer your enquiry and, where requested, prepare an order or consultation. The legal basis is GDPR Article 6(1)(b) for pre-contractual enquiries, or Article 6(1)(f), our legitimate interest in answering other enquiries. Newsletter consent is separate and optional.

Personal consultation

If you specifically request a consultation with Dany Diop, we coordinate the introduction and share the details needed for it. Dany consults in English and French. Links to his shop, Instagram and maps lead to external services; those services are not embedded before you click.

Private correspondence

If you select the separate option, we record your request for news about ÉLÉYẸ, releases and invitations. We send a confirmation email and activate the subscription only after confirmation. We retain the consent wording, version, language and request, confirmation and withdrawal timestamps. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(a). You may withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link or by email, without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Service providers

OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare provide the website. Enquiries are stored in its database and transferred through Make to Airtable. Resend delivers notifications and confirmation emails. These services may process data outside the European Economic Area. The provider links below explain their privacy terms and transfer safeguards; contact us for information about safeguards applicable to your data.

Technical data

Connections generate necessary technical data, including IP address, time and requested resource. The application briefly retains hashed identifiers and counters to limit form abuse, based on Article 6(1)(f). Optional analytics is activated only after consent. Fonts and images are served locally. The protected administration area uses the hosting platform’s sign-in.

Google Analytics (optional)

If you allow analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. It measures page views, technical device information and the enquiry category after a successful form submission. We do not send names, email addresses or message text as analytics events. Google may process data in the USA. Google loads only after consent; ad personalisation and Google Signals are disabled. The legal bases are GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and German TDDDG Section 25(1). Your choice is stored locally for up to 180 days. Withdraw at any time through “Privacy settings” in the footer. More information: policies.google.com/privacy.

Retention

We retain enquiries as needed to handle and follow them up, then delete them unless legal retention obligations or legitimate evidence requirements apply. Subscription data remains until withdrawal; necessary consent evidence and suppression records may remain longer. Expired confirmation links cannot activate a subscription.

Your rights

Subject to applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent at any time and complain to a supervisory authority, including the Bavarian data protection authority (lda.bayern.de). Updated: 2 November 2026.

Language preference

On your first visit, we select an available edition using the language preference sent by your browser. If you choose a language in the menu, we retain that choice in the necessary eleye_language cookie for up to one year. It contains only a language code and is not used for advertising or analytics.
